This sunflower bouquet watercolor painting was painted from life, picked from my garden in the year 2025. The sunflowers are a special variety that has pale yellow petals and a golden center. I combined them with snapdragons and lacy queen annes lace flowers in a mason jar with a deep indigo background for a dramatic yet feminine floral artwork in a classical still life composition. Lately, I have been inspired by victorian and vintage art deco and william morris designs which is reflected in this piece.
