Art Inspired by Real Experiences

Allison Criswell is a watercolor painter whose subjects are deeply inspired by her background as a biologist and professional vegetable gardener. Through her study of nature and her hands-on experiences in the garden she is drawn to wildlife, botanicals, and the serene landscapes that surround them. Each peaceful scene has a story to tell. Through rich color and atmospheric layers, her paintings celebrate the light that brings the natural world to life captured in the transparent layers of watercolor.

When Allison's not in the studio, you'll find her tending her garden, hiking with her husband and daughter, or working on a project on her homestead in Indiana.

Each one of us has a story about witnessing something incredible in nature, I just paint mine.
